Silent Theatre set for WFD Congress in Madrid-Spain.
The Silent theatre the Uganda Deaf Theatre project is one of the 4 selected Deaf theater to stage shows at the XV World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) congress in Madrid -Spain. They will be showing the play " The Magic Seed" The play depicts vulnerability, oppression and blended attitudes of the communities towards disability.
Deaf Awareness Week.
UNAD will celebrated this year's Deaf Awareness Week in between 17th -21st September in Mbarara-Western Uganda. This will be the second term in history UNAD /Uganda Deaf is commemorating this day. The first was held last year in Kampala. This year's Theme is "Education for All, Are the Deaf benefiting too?

UNAD to present a drama
UNAD drama wing will present the show "The stepping Stones" at
National Theatre on 2nd May 2007. This is an HIV/AIDS show to be
staged in Uganda Sign language. The show is being sponsored by
Concern- Uganda. Entrance is free and gates open at 6:30 P.M.
Deaf Awareness Week
UNAD will commemorate the Deaf Awareness Week in Mbarara district
in Western Uganda from 17th -21st September 2007. The theme of the
celebrations is "Education for All; Are the Deaf benefiting too? The week
event will have a series of activities that reflect the theme. All are
welcome.
UNAD to be represented in World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) congress
The xv WFD congress will be held in Madrid Spain from 16th-22nd July 2007. Two delegates on gender balance are representing UNAD at the congress.
Word Federation of Deaf Youth congress will also be held in Madrid from 14th-15th July 2007.For more information contact WFD secretariat.
